Paul Smidt

Born into a family of artists, Paul Smidt expresses the light way of looking at life.

In his youth, Paul was regularly found in his father’s studio. Growing up among the smells of linen canvases, turpentine and oil paint, he searched for his own style of painting, encouraged by his father.

After the death of his father in 2005, Paul extended this freedom of the creative spirit into his life. Experiencing complete freedom of being has become a goal in life that he wants to convey with enthusiasm.

After successful exhibitions in the Netherlands, Germany, France and Russia, Paul Smidt’s work now fascinates and inspires art galleries and collectors around the world.

Since September 2017, Paul Smidt runs the special art gallery “KUNSTBRUG” in Oldenzaal.
